Why should my firm have a web site and how
should we use it?
1. Expand your
sales. Market not only to local customers, but to customers worldwide.
Use an online order form with secure transactions to accept orders around the
clock. |
2. Boost lead
generation by using the interactive nature of the Web to capture leads. And
then follow-up on those leads quickly while they're "hot." |
3. Improve
customer service and support by providing answers to commonly asked
questions--freeing your staff to handle other work. |
4. Reduce
printing and postage costs by using your Web Site to provide easy access to
information about your products, services and company. Or use your Web Site
to publish your newsletter or annual report. |
5. Provide
detailed product or service information that is accessible to your customers
24 hours a day, 7 days a week. |
6. Save money
communicating with your customers. There is significant cost savings if you
don't have to send out a bunch of four-color brochures with postage, not to
mention the time it takes to address all the envelopes. |
7. Update
information faster and cheaper on a web site as compared to updating printed
material. It's much easier to update Web page catalogs with new items or
prices than it is to reprint your catalog and mail it out. |
8. Use graphics
to show your customers what they're ordering. Flower Shops are doing a big
business on the Web. It's nice to see what kind of arrangement you're getting
for your hard-earned money. Unique, custom products have lots of potential. |
What makes a good website?
A good web site must contain these 3 important
elements: |
What makes a web site successful? Search engine registration is very important but not the only thing that needs to be done. Integrate your site into your overall marketing plan. Draw visitors to your site by putting your web site address on your brochures, fliers, printed ads, business cards, letterhead, fax cover sheets proposals, blueprints, contracts and company vehicles. Don't forget to mention it in your voice mail message, radio, television and yellow page advertising. |
What does it cost to have a professionally designed and programmed web
site?
Each site we create is unique with the content and the
programming required different. There is no easy way to tell until we
meet with you and review your special needs. There is no charge
for that initial meeting. At the end of our meeting you will know
exactly what it will cost for your custom site. We work on a flat fee
basis so there are no hidden charges. |
Yes, but those programs do not
provide you with the professional experience, technical skills or creative
talent that you need to develop a high quality, professional looking
site. Our years of Internet
experience and business background give you the edge to succeed on the web.
Why does my site not come up in the search pages?
First it
must be programmed with right keywords, description and meta-tags. Then
it must be registered with the appropriate search engines. Since most
search engines are different and search using different criteria it is very
important that it be done properly. At Alpine Web Designs we have the
experience to make sure your site is registered properly with all the major
search engines. |
Why do some
pages load slowly?
A site that loads slowly has
either too many graphics or the graphic picture is too large a file. We
compress our graphic images so the file is much smaller and loads
faster. In addition we measure the load time of each page and will
break the pages up if they are too slow. |
What size monitor resolution are most people using?
Research
shows that more than have of the users are viewing on an 800 X 600 screen
resolution. Studies are showing this is slowly beginning to change as
the price of monitors is decreasing. We design your site using 800 X
600. |
What are some statistics on users of the web?
Of the
75-100 million users in the U.S. 49% are female and 51.% are male. 15%
have incomes over $100,000 and the average income is +/- $50,000 per
yr. The average user spends 8+ hours a month on the Internet. |
How much E-commerce is actually taking place?
Sales
projections for 1999 are $ 40 billion with 73% of that being done by small
businesses. Revenue for 2003 is projected at over $3.3 trillion. |
What is process in getting a web site from Alpine?
1.We
have a brain-storming session. We review the scope of your firm and help you
decide what information, what format, and in what order it should be posted
on the web. |
Our
company takes the time to learn about your business, needs, and goals before

logos, domain registration, search engine submission, hosting, and routine
updating of your site.
How do I get a domain name for my website?
We will take care of all of that for you, assisting you
in picking out a domain name and registering the domain. The cost is
approximately $35.00 per year and is paid directly to the domain registering
company. |
That sounds like a lot of work, what must I do?
Our
vision is simple. For our clients obtaining a web site should be fun
and easy! We do all the hard work and you enjoy the results! Let
us worry about the details. |
I have a web site that is tired and out-dated. What can you do? Alpine can redesign or overhaul an existing website to give it that modern touch necessary to attract your target audience and keep them coming back. We will be more than happy to sit down and talk with you about design options for your existing site and what could help improve your overall online look and presentation. |
Once my site is completed, how often should it be changed? A site should be updated when the information about Your Company changes. If you are a stock company it is updated every minute, a mortgage company every day, but usually it will need to be looked at every 3-6 months. |
What are some of the other bells and whistles I could have on my site?
There are many options, here are a few: On-line
purchasing, information and contact forms, mailing lists, password
protection, rollover buttons, sound, animation, clocks, scrolling
announcements, random pictures, picture slideshows, viewer statistics, calculators,
date/time stamp and more. |
